CJ CheilJedang Announces Recruitment for 'Frontier Labs 3rd Cohort'... "Strengthening Startup Investment and Support"

CJ CheilJedang announced on the 20th that it is recruiting the 3rd cohort of ‘FRONTIER LABS,’ a program that discovers and nurtures promising startups.

FRONTIER LABS is a program conducted since July 2021 in collaboration with startup accelerator SparkLabs and the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency. It selects and invests in startups with outstanding technology and ideas to create a new paradigm in the food industry.

The recruitment fields for the 3rd cohort are ▲ Taste & Wellness (K-Food global expansion, health-oriented food, technology, and brands) ▲ Food Tech (smart farms, smart packaging, AI, big data, digital healthcare, etc.) ▲ Sustainability (alternative foods, food upcycling) among three areas. Companies wishing to participate can apply through the program’s website by 6 PM on the 10th of next month.

Starting from this cohort, the scope of discovery and support will also be expanded. The initial investment for selected companies will be increased from the existing 100 million KRW to up to 300 million KRW, and opportunities for collaboration with CJ CheilJedang will be strengthened. Additionally, the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency will provide PoC (Proof of Concept) support and link benefits to government startup support projects, while the Seoul Business Agency will offer additional benefits such as commercialization support funds.
