LG Electronics Named 'Best Eco-Friendly Washer' by U.S. Consumer Reports

According to industry sources on the 19th, LG Electronics recently swept first place in the drum washing machine, agitator washing machine, and top-loading washing machine categories among the best eco-friendly washing machines announced by Consumer Reports.

These three types of washing machines account for more than 90% of total sales in the U.S. washing machine market, dividing the market into three segments.

In the drum category, LG washing machines took both first and second place. LG drum washing machines received the highest rating of 'Excellent' in tests for washing performance, energy efficiency, and efficient water usage.

LG washing machines, which ranked first in the top-loading category, received 'Excellent' ratings in washing performance, reliability, and efficient water usage, and a 'Very Good' rating in energy efficiency.

In the agitator category, commonly known as 'Bongdori,' LG products, which were the first agitator washing machines to receive the eco-friendly mark 'Green Choice,' took first place.

All LG washing machines included in the rankings for drum, top-loading, and agitator washing machines were selected as recommended products by Consumer Reports.

Consumer Reports ranks various products, including home appliances sold in the U.S., based on consumer surveys and its own testing. Earlier this year, LG Electronics also took first place in major categories such as drum, top-loading, and agitator in Consumer Reports' 'Best Washing Machines of 2023.'

The company explained that the excellent recognition of LG washing machines is largely due to the technological prowess of key components such as the DD (Direct Drive) motor, which precisely controls rotation speed.
