Customer Protection through the Introduction of Performance Bond Insurance
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] On the 17th, Oneyearhouse announced that it will introduce the 'Interior Safety Plan' to reduce cases where customers suffer damages during the interior construction brokerage process.
First, Oneyearhouse plans to introduce a performance guarantee insurance as early as the first half of the year to minimize damages customers may suffer due to defects or construction delays during the interior construction process. This safety measure involves Oneyearhouse subscribing to insurance on behalf of the contracted construction companies so that customers can receive compensation if they experience damages such as construction delays or defects during the construction process.
Once the performance guarantee insurance is introduced, customers will be able to seek relief if damages occur during the actual construction process after signing the interior construction contract. This is because Oneyearhouse will first implement relief measures for affected customers and then proceed with insurance claims with the insurance company.
Additionally, along with the introduction of the performance guarantee insurance, standardized contracts specifying detailed construction contents and periods will be established for insurance subscription. Since interior construction contracts are made between the construction company and the customer, there have often been cases where contracts favored the construction companies with more experience and information, but such issues are expected to significantly decrease in the future.
If complaints arise during the construction process, customers will also receive assistance from a dedicated customer satisfaction team. If disputes occur while customers proceed with interior construction through construction companies introduced by Oneyearhouse, dedicated construction consultation staff will directly work to resolve customer issues.
An Oneyearhouse official stated, "The highest priority Oneyearhouse considers during the interior construction process is customer satisfaction," adding, "We will continue to develop the Interior Safety Plan, including the introduction of performance guarantee insurance, to increase transparency in the interior market and enable customers to use construction services with greater peace of mind."
