Sacheon Mayor Park Dongsik Holds 'Township Tour Dialogue with Citizens'

Communicating with Citizens and Realizing Empathetic Administration

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Park Dongsik, mayor of Sacheon City, Gyeongnam, will embark on the ‘2023 Eupmyeondong Tour (Dialogue with Citizens)’ from the 20th of this month to March 9th to gather various opinions on the 8th term of the elected municipal administration.

This tour was organized to realize ‘A New Beginning, Happy City Sacheon’ together with the citizens and will proceed in the order of eupmyeondong work reports, pre-performance, and the announcement of the 2023 8th term municipal administration budget.

In particular, a forum for dialogue with citizens will continue to communicate and empathize with residents by directly listening to the vivid voices of citizens regarding the 8th term municipal administration.

Park Dong-sik, mayor of Sacheon City, Gyeongnam, is listening to the complaints and difficulties of the citizens.

In fact, during this tour, about 60 minutes out of the scheduled 1 hour and 30 minutes will be allocated for conversations with citizens, implementing a communication administration that citizens can truly feel.

On this day, Mayor Park plans to express his gratitude to the 120,000 Sacheon citizens who gathered their capabilities to lay the foundation for a leap toward realizing the Happy City Sacheon in 2022.

Also, regarding major local issues and long-standing projects in the eupmyeondong areas, detailed explanations will be provided on the day of the tour through prior review, and suggestions heard on-site will be instructed to the relevant departments for review and action.

This eupmyeondong tour will proceed in the following order: Sacheon-eup on the 20th, Dongseo-dong and Jeongdong-myeon on the 21st, Seongu-dong on the 24th, Sanam-myeon on the 27th, Dongseo Geum-dong on March 2nd, Namyang-dong and Chukdong-myeon on March 3rd, Beoryong-dong and Yonghyeon-myeon on March 6th, Hyangchon-dong and Gonyang-myeon on March 7th, and Seopo-myeon and Gonmyeong-myeon on March 9th.

Visits will be divided into morning (10 a.m.) and afternoon (3 p.m.) sessions, with two locations visited per day. However, Sacheon-eup, Seongu-dong, Sanam-myeon, and Dongseo Geum-dong will have only one visit each, scheduled at 3 p.m.

Mayor Park said, “This eupmyeondong tour is a great opportunity to listen to the citizens’ various complaints and difficulties,” adding, “We will do our best to make Sacheon City a city where all citizens are happy.”
