Hampyeong County, Jeonnam announced on the 16th that it signed a public-academic cooperation agreement with the College of Nursing at Chonnam National University on the 15th for community dementia management.
About 10 officials, including Lee Sang-ik, Mayor of Hampyeong County, and Kim Jeong-seon, Dean of the College of Nursing at Chonnam National University, attended the signing ceremony, which was held to promote residents' health improvement and create a dementia-friendly environment.
According to the agreement, both institutions will promote ▲development and distribution of cognitive enhancement programs ▲operation of resident dementia management programs ▲other dementia-related cooperative projects.
Mayor Lee Sang-ik said, "Through this agreement, we will actively communicate and cooperate with Chonnam National University to take the lead in creating a happy Hampyeong without worries about dementia."
