[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Koo Dae-seon] The '2023 Dicaffeshow,' featuring 105 companies related to cafes, will be held.
The 2023 Dicaffeshow, under the theme 'NOW, BISTRO,' will take place for four days from the 23rd to the 26th at Daegu EXCO.
Now in its third year, the Dicaffeshow involves 105 companies from the cafe industry sectors including coffee equipment, beans, cafe startups, and interior design. It also offers free open seminars for cafe startups, a cafe street promotional hall, a youth cafe Young Street, and various events.
At the Dicaffeshow, to address concerns about starting a cafe, actual cafe operators will hold open seminars sharing practical information such as the proper start for different types of cafe startups, trial and error experiences of youth cafes, and secrets to opening a cafe.
The open seminars, free for anyone to attend, will be held daily inside the exhibition hall, providing existing cafe operators with opportunities for renewal and prospective entrepreneurs with chances to acquire cafe startup information.
Additionally, in the center of the Dicaffeshow exhibition hall, the 'Daegu City Cafe Street Promotional Hall' will be set up to promote Daegu's cafe streets and alleyway commercial districts. Simultaneously, the youth cafe Young Street will operate, showcasing features like the 'Barista Free Tasting Zone' and the 'Carrot Cafe.'
At the main spots of the Dicaffeshow, including the cafe street and the 'NicutNecut Photo Zone,' visitors can create memories with friends, lovers, and family.
This year's Dicaffeshow includes participation from 105 companies specializing in cafe startups, coffee beans, and coffee machines.
Hanatongsang provides customer-oriented services for cafe startups, while cafe startup consulting firms Daejin SR and Food Machine Korea will approach prospective entrepreneurs with special expo discounts.
Moreover, coffee bean specialist brands such as Daniel Coffee, famous for decaffeinated cold brew coffee, and Kapkawa, which produces coffee cherries directly in Kenya and Tanzania, as well as coffee equipment companies like Stronghold, a smart roasting solution company, and Mano Korea, which presents automated drip coffee extraction systems, also attract attention.
The 2023 Dicaffeshow exhibition offers more than 10 types of various prize events for visitors, along with a rich selection of desserts, bakery items, and foods that stimulate the appetite.
Visitors can also enjoy a variety of events held during the exhibition period, including first-come-first-served giveaways, stamp tours, 3 PM guerrilla events, and Valentine’s events.
A representative from The Fairs, the organizer of the 2023 Dicaffeshow, said, "In Daegu, the city of cafes, we will showcase the infinite diversity of cafe spaces through the exhibition and seminars. Especially, we hope to inform those preparing to start cafes and the public who love Daegu’s cafe streets about Daegu’s cafe industry and serve as an opportunity to revitalize the alleyway commercial districts."
The admission fee for the Dicaffeshow is 3,000 KRW, but pre-registration through the website allows free access to the exhibition and attendance at the cafe startup open seminars.
