Ministry of Health and Welfare Donates Earthquake Relief Funds to Turkey and Syria

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced on the 16th that it plans to donate 22 million won collected by headquarters and affiliated institution employees to the Korean Red Cross to help T?rkiye and Syria, which suffered great damage from the earthquake.


Minister Cho Kyu-hong stated, "We conducted this fundraising to provide even a little help in this heartbreaking situation caused by the earthquake," and expressed his "deep condolences to the people of T?rkiye and Syria suffering from the disaster and hopes for a swift recovery."


The Ministry of Health and Welfare actively supports disaster areas on a humanitarian basis whenever large-scale disasters occur, and all employees voluntarily participate in fundraising during major domestic and international disasters.
