GS25 announced on the 16th that starting from the 17th, it will be the first in the nation to sell BAT Rothmans' electronic cigarette ‘glo Hyper X2’ at dedicated shop-in-shop locations nationwide.
The glo Hyper X2 features advanced induction heating technology, offering an easy grip, portability, and a stylish design. Through the demi-slim format Neo Stick, introduced for the first time in Korea, the stick is thicker with 30% more tobacco content compared to the existing super-slim sticks, allowing for a deeper and richer flavor. It comes in two colors: Metal Black and Mint Blue, priced at 40,000 KRW.
The glo Hyper X2 is the first in the glo series to separate the boost mode and standard mode buttons, enabling users to choose their preferred heating method. It is equipped with an iris shutter to protect the device from dust and foreign substances, and the LED indicator makes it easy to check charging and heating status as well as the start of boost mode.
The shop-in-shop stores are located at five places: Hapjeong Premium Branch, Jamsil Tower Branch, Yeoui Ssangma Branch, Cheongjin Tower 8 Branch, and Mapo Station Branch. From the 20th, a pre-order service will also open through GS Retail’s integrated app, Woori Dongnae GS. Customers can select the product, pick-up date, time slot, and pick-up store, then make payment to pick up the product at their desired store. After the 28th, the product will be available for purchase at all GS25 stores nationwide that handle tobacco products.
A GS Retail official stated, “GS25 is providing unique services such as the nation’s first sale of glo Hyper X2 and expanding consumer contact through pre-orders,” adding, “We will continue to enhance shopping convenience for customers by offering a variety of heated tobacco products and rapid introduction.”
