Boseong-gun, Relief Supplies Depart for Turkey

Winter Cold-Weather Clothing and Gloves Filled with the Sincerity of Soldiers and Citizens

[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that on the 13th and 14th, it sent about 300 boxes of relief supplies collected by all residents to the earthquake-affected areas in Turkey.

The relief supplies collected this time were items requested by the Embassy of Turkey in Korea, consisting of 251 international standard size 6 courier boxes of adult and children's winter clothing, and 50 boxes of gloves (20,000 pairs), totaling 301 boxes.

The relief supply reception desk, which operated for two days starting from the 13th, was organized by voluntarily participating employees and local institutions and social organizations with the hope of helping to heal the pain of the Turkish people.

The collected items were sorted by category and then transported to the Eagle General Distribution Center on the 14th.

Kim Bok-soon, Chairwoman of the Women's Volunteer Association who participated in the relief supply volunteer work, said, "I am very happy to be able to provide some support and help to the people affected by the earthquake in Turkey," and added, "I once again felt the passion of the volunteers and that all our residents are united as one."

Kim Cheol-woo, Mayor of Boseong-gun, said, "I am grateful that the residents of Boseong brought clean and good clothes they cherish," and added, "Although it is a small gesture, I hope the warm hearts of our residents will give strength to the people of Turkey, our brotherly nation."

Meanwhile, Boseong-gun has been conducting a special fundraising campaign to support the earthquake damage in Turkey and Syria from February 8th to February 28th.
