Electricity Charges Used from October to December Last Year
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Seo Young-seo] Haenam-gun, Jeonnam, will support 50% of the increase in electricity rates to stabilize the management of farmers who are struggling due to the rise in agricultural electricity charges.
According to the county on the 15th, the support targets farmers who use agricultural electricity for crop seedling cultivation or agricultural product cold storage facilities. They will provide a fixed support of 9.05 won/kWh, which is 50% of the actual increase including the electricity rate increase and climate environment charges from October to December last year.
Applications will be accepted through the eup/myeon offices until the 28th. Eligible farmers must submit an application form and consent for personal credit information inquiry. After verifying eligibility and confirming individual usage with KEPCO, support will be provided in the form of individual account deposits between March and April.
A county official said, "We expect that this support for the electricity rate increase will somewhat alleviate the management burden on farms struggling with rising prices of various agricultural materials."
Meanwhile, Haenam-gun invested 2.4 billion won last year to support 50% of the increase in duty-free fuel prices to stabilize the management of farmers facing difficulties due to rising oil prices.
