Samcheonpo Nonghyup 'Completion of Automated Rice Seedling Nursery'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Yoon-jung] Samcheonpo Nonghyup in Sacheon-si, Gyeongnam, held a completion ceremony for the automated rice seedling nursery at the joint seedling nursery within the Bongnam Office of Samcheonpo Nonghyup on the 14th.

The completion ceremony was attended by various guests including Lee Jeong-sil, head of Samcheonpo Nonghyup and its executives and staff; Lee Chang-hoon, Deputy Head of Management at Gyeongnam Nonghyup; Jeong Dae-woong, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center; Jo Yoon-hwan, Head of Sacheon Branch; and Hwang Seong-bo, Director of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation.

With an area of 1,426㎡ and five greenhouse seedling nursery facilities, it will supply high-quality seedlings to each farm.

Head Lee said, “Supplying high-quality seedlings through direct operation of the automated rice seedling nursery will contribute not only to the production of high-quality rice but also to alleviating labor shortages and increasing income,” adding, “Furthermore, it is expected to greatly contribute to the development of the local rural community and agriculture.”

Members said, “It is very helpful that Samcheonpo Nonghyup actively addresses the difficulties and hardships of seedling cultivation.”
