Consumer Food Hygiene Inspector Job Training Conducted

According to the county on the 14th, Consumer Food Hygiene Inspectors perform various roles to create a safe food environment by inspecting the hygiene status of restaurants, cafes, and food manufacturing, processing, and sales businesses, which are the core of the dining industry, monitoring for fraudulent and substandard foods, and supporting the collection of high-consumption distributed foods.


This regular job training was prepared to improve the knowledge and qualities necessary for performing duties and included △ the duties and monitoring guidelines of Consumer Food Hygiene Inspectors △ behavioral guidelines for managers in charge of children’s preferred foods △ explanations of food hygiene laws and regulations.


The 12 Consumer Food Hygiene Inspectors who completed the training on that day will perform duties such as guidance and inspection of food service establishments, food manufacturing, distribution, and sales businesses within Yeongam-gun for the next two years, food monitoring for children’s food safety protection zones, and promotion to prevent food safety accidents.


A county official said, “We expect that the professionalism and monitoring capabilities of the inspectors will greatly improve through this regular training, which focused on enhancing practical roles so that they can be usefully applied in the field,” and added, “As we prioritize the safety of the residents in our administration, we will do our best to ensure there are no gaps in food safety.”
