Up to 20 Million KRW Repair Costs Supported for Returning Farmers and Migrants
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Wook] Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongnam, is attracting attention by recruiting participants for the ‘Youth Half-Price Rental Housing Repair Cost Support Project,’ which remodels vacant houses abandoned in the area from February and provides rental housing to youth at half the price of nearby market rates.
This project was prepared to alleviate the housing cost burden so that young people aged 18 to 49, such as return-to-farm and return-to-village residents and cultural artists, can settle in Uiryeong. This year’s project volume is three vacant houses, and repair costs (remodeling, purchase of household goods) up to 20 million KRW will be supported.
Participants can apply if they are owners of vacant houses in the area for more than one year and wish to rent to youth at half the surrounding market price. To apply, submit the application form and qualification documents in person at the township office where the vacant house is located or at the Youth Policy Department of the Extinction Crisis Response Promotion Team at Uiryeong-gun Office.
