Busan City will hold the "2023 Busan Metropolitan City Integrated Defense Meeting" at 10:30 a.m. on the 14th in the city hall auditorium to raise citizens' security awareness and establish an integrated defense posture among civil, government, military, police, and fire sectors.

This integrated defense meeting is being held for the first time in four years, having been unable to take place due to situations such as COVID-19.

The meeting will be attended by about 700 people, including Park Hyung-jun, mayor and chairman of the Integrated Defense Council, council members, and officials from civil, government, military, police, and fire sectors. The agenda includes ▲ national ceremony ▲ commendation of meritorious persons ▲ reports from three related organizations including the 53rd Infantry Division of the Army.

At this integrated defense meeting, 16 meritorious persons selected from civil, government, military, police, and fire sectors, including Jeong Jae-yeol, a member of the Seo-gu Integrated Defense Council who has led the establishment of the regional integrated defense posture with a strong sense of national identity and dedication, will be awarded commendations from the Busan Mayor, the commander of the 53rd Infantry Division, and the chief of the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency.

Through this, it is expected to encourage the efforts of those who contributed to establishing the regional integrated defense posture and to create a venue for citizen unity.

Related organizations will report on ▲ current security situation (National Intelligence Service branch) ▲ major achievements and promotion directions of integrated defense posture (53rd Infantry Division) ▲ establishment of police integrated defense posture (Busan Police Agency), aiming not only to establish the regional integrated defense posture but also to raise awareness of security threats spreading domestically and internationally.
