Gurye-gun Launches Recruitment for Agricultural College Trainees

Fostering Regional Agricultural Leaders, Promoting Agricultural College Programs

[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yuk Miseok] Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will recruit 40 students for the "15th Gurye-gun Agricultural College" by February 24 to train agricultural professionals who will lead the specialized development of local agriculture.


This Agricultural College curriculum will be conducted a total of 26 sessions from March to October, excluding the hot summer period, with the theme of "Facility Horticulture."

The education content is systematically organized by professional instructors, covering topics from basic horticultural crop cultivation to open-field and facility cultivation of potatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and watermelons, pest and disease management techniques, as well as basics, design, and operation of general horticultural facilities and smart farms.


Additionally, the program includes topics beyond cultivation techniques, such as agricultural taxation, agricultural real estate, safe use of agricultural machinery, and differentiated strategies for successful agricultural startups, allowing students to acquire diverse agricultural knowledge.


To complete the course, students must attend at least 70% of the total education hours. Those wishing to enroll can refer to the Gurye-gun Agricultural Technology Center website, prepare the application documents, and apply either by visiting the Human Resources Development Team at the Gurye-gun Agricultural Technology Center in person or by email.


Governor Kim Sun-ho said, "I hope the 15th Gurye-gun Agricultural College will serve as a lever to enhance the professional capabilities of the students and contribute to the development of our county's facility horticulture sector."
