[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] A student team from Dong-Eui Institute of Technology won the grand prize at last month’s ‘Busan Area LINC 3.0 Startup Shared University Competition.’
According to Dong-Eui Institute of Technology on the 15th, the Busan Area LINC 3.0 Startup Shared University program was conducted from December 6 last year to January 31 this year. Students belonging to university startup clubs directly discovered items according to the educational curriculum and created websites to reflect customer responses.
This program operated the curriculum in the order of ▲ Lean startup strategy ▲ Customers and market ▲ MVP (Minimum Viable Product) effectiveness and utilization strategy ▲ Service/product market fit ▲ Autonomous classes.
At Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, the ‘Jiwonsagyeok Team,’ consisting of nursing students Park Ji-hae, Ma Yu-jin, Son Seong-eun, and Choi Min-kyung, participated and won the grand prize with their work ‘Hug Pole,’ which combined wheels from a stroller and an IV pole.
The Hug Pole is a cart-type pole designed to allow guardians and young children to move more safely and conveniently within hospitals. By placing the child inside the cart and fastening the belt, it prevents falls, enabling guardians to transport children safely.
The judging criteria for the Busan Area LINC 3.0 Startup Shared University included the appropriateness of the startup plan, feasibility of the startup item, technology and competitiveness, and business plan writing. Judges were members from the Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center, Busan Design Promotion Agency, and Accentree Ventures.
The grand prize-winning team received a prize of 800,000 KRW and the Creative Economy Innovation Center Director’s Award.
