Gyeonggi Province announced that Governor Kim will visit the Embassy of T?rkiye in Seoul's Jangchung-dong at 11:45 a.m. on the 13th to offer condolences to the earthquake victims.
Earlier, on the 9th, Governor Kim stated through his social network service (SNS), "Gyeonggi Province wants to add hope for the victims of the T?rkiye earthquake," adding, "All Gyeonggi Provincial Office employees and the labor union have decided to raise funds for the earthquake recovery. We also plan to send letters of consolation with the warm hearts of our employees and all Gyeonggi residents."
Gyeonggi Province was the first local government nationwide to announce a historic relief fund of one million dollars to T?rkiye.
Meanwhile, on the 12th (local time), CNN reported, citing announcements from the governments of T?rkiye and Syria, that the death toll from the earthquake has risen to 34,179. Among them, the number of deaths in T?rkiye is 29,605, approaching 30,000.
