Jin Joong-kwon Insults Cho Min... "Inherited Father's Thick Skin"

Professor Jin Joong-kwon, a special professor at Kwangwoon University, criticized Cho Min, the eldest daughter of former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk, saying, "She inherited her face and face thickness from her father."

Professor Jin made this remark on the 9th during an appearance on the YouTube channel 'Sisa Kkeutjjang,' referring to Cho's previous statement about her college admission fraud allegations, in which she claimed to be "honest," calling it "absurd."

Professor Jin argued that the prosecution did not indict Cho Min, unlike former Minister Cho Kuk and her mother, former Dongyang University professor Jung Kyung-shim, saying, "The prosecution showed leniency."

He emphasized, "They were going to indict the father and the mother, so they thought it would be a bit too much to include the daughter Cho Min as well, so they excluded her."

Referring to the 'Sookmyung Girls' High School twins' case, he said, "If they were to do it properly, the adult Cho Min should have been indicted. It was fabricated with false credentials from the beginning. If they showed leniency, she should be grateful."

The Sookmyung Girls' High School twins case involved sisters who took exams using leaked test answers provided by their father, the head of the academic affairs department, in 2017. They were sentenced to prison with a suspended sentence.

Professor Jin highlighted that Cho Min resembles her father, former Minister Cho Kuk, and also mentioned a tweet from a few years ago where Cho Kuk wrote, "I do as my father taught me."

He added, "There is nothing that the 'Jomandaejanggyung' (Cho Kuk + Palman Daejanggyeong) does not have. It should be registered as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage."

Meanwhile, on the 6th, Cho Min appeared on the YouTube channel 'Kim Eo-jun's Humility is Hard News Factory' and said, "I have lived as Cho Kuk's daughter for the past four years, but watching my father receive a prison sentence made me deeply think, 'Am I not honest?'" She expressed that she is honest and that the prosecution, media, and political circles treated her family harshly.

Cho said, "I am honest. I have lived without shame. That is why I have made up my mind. I want to live proudly as Cho Min, not as Cho Kuk's daughter, without hiding."

Regarding the controversy over her medical license, Cho stated, "You cannot become a doctor with a certificate of commendation," and added, "My scores in the required admission categories were sufficient, and in some cases, exceeded the requirements."

Former Minister Cho Kuk, who was indicted on charges of his children's admission fraud and cover-up of an investigation, was sentenced to two years in prison and fined 6 million won in the first trial on the 3rd. He appealed the verdict immediately after the first trial sentencing.
