On the 10th, Sahmyook University’s Institute for Educational Innovation announced that it held the "2022 Academic Year Performance Forum and Performance Sharing Meeting" on the 9th at Hong Myung-gi Hall in Yohan Building on campus.
Under the theme of 'Sharing the Future of Educational Innovation,' the forum began with presentations on performance dissemination cases. Professor Park In-woo of the Department of Education at Korea University delivered a keynote lecture titled 'Growth and Sharing of University Education Performance,' explaining that "the performance of university education should reflect practical indicators that lead to positive changes in students."
Following this, Professor Song Chang-ho of the Department of Physical Therapy at Samyook University, Research Professor Kang Soo-min of the Teaching and Learning Development Center at Kwangwoon University, and Senior Researcher Kim Hye-rim of the Teaching and Learning Development Center at Sogang University presented cases on how metaverse was introduced and utilized in educational settings at their respective universities.
In the second part, conducted under the theme 'Sharing the Operation Performance of the Education Innovation Center,' representatives from the Remote Education Support Center, Teaching and Learning Development Center, Education Accreditation Center, and Non-curricular Integration Center under the Education Innovation Center presented major achievements over the past year. The Education Innovation Center self-assessed that it made many improvements last year to operate customized programs centered on both instructors and learners.
The Education Innovation Center developed a 'Teaching Competency Diagnostic Tool' and completed the 'Curriculum and Course Accreditation Manual.' Additionally, in accordance with the university's educational philosophy, it developed and operates the 'BFFL Curriculum' to cultivate holistic talents required in future society.
Kim Il-mok, president of Samyook University, stated, "Samyook University is striving not to respond passively and belatedly to changes in future society but to proactively lead change," adding, "I hope this opportunity to share various performance cases and thematic presentations will help us gauge and prepare for the direction of future education together."
