Lutronic Selected as a 'World-Class Product and Manufacturing Company'

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] Aesthetic medical device company Lutronic announced on the 10th that it was recently selected as a ‘2022 World-Class Product and World-Class Product Manufacturing Company’ by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. It has been honored for 17 consecutive years since its first selection in 2006.

The World-Class Product certification is organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and awarded annually by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) to Korean products with global competitiveness. Eligible products are those with a global market size of over 50 million USD annually or export volume exceeding 5 million USD annually, ranked within the top 5 in global market share with at least 5%. Lutronic was selected as a World-Class Product for its ‘medical laser surgical device’ category.

Lutronic was also certified as a World-Class Product Manufacturing Company. This certification is granted if the company’s product holds a top 5 global market share or if its export volume ranks first among domestic companies producing similar products or accounts for 30% of the domestic export volume of similar products.

A Lutronic official stated, “Lutronic continues to play a leading role in the market by exporting to over 80 countries overseas,” and added, “We will continue to focus on developing innovative, easy-to-use, and diverse world-class products.”
