[Asia Economy Reporter Myung-hwan Lee] PharmGen Science announced on the 9th that it has recruited Seongbin Lim as an executive of the Healthcare Business Division.
Seongbin Lim successfully led the brand revitalization of Matdongsan during his tenure at Haitai Confectionery, and at Daesang, he developed Cheongjeongwon Sunchang and Hongcho into mega brands. At Handok, a pharmaceutical company, he launched and nurtured 'ReadyQ,' a popular hangover relief product in both domestic and international markets.
The Healthcare Business Division, which Seongbin Lim will oversee, is a division that PharmGen Science has promoted for business diversification. Related sales, which were only 800 million KRW in the first half of 2021, recorded 8.1 billion KRW in sales in the first half of last year alone.
PharmGen Science plans to nurture the company's next growth engine by recruiting Seongbin Lim. Based on his more than 20 years of FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) marketing experience, he plans to develop new brands related to healthcare business (health functional foods, cosmetics) and expand the product portfolio.
Additionally, through strengthening marketing such as building a digital healthcare platform, the company aims to increase the sales proportion of the healthcare business from the current 10% to 40% within the next three years and also pursue entry into the global market.
