Lotte Mart and Super announced on the 9th that they will sell four types of Jeju citrus fruits at a uniform price of 9,900 won through integrated sourcing.

This event sourced 60 tons of small-sized citrus and mandarin fruits to support Jeju farmers struggling with small fruit shipments and to contribute to price stabilization. The event items include Jeju Hwangtobat greenhouse citrus (1.2kg), Jeju Redhyang (1kg), Jeju Cheonhyehyang (1kg), and Jeju Hallabong (1.2kg).

The uniform price mandarin products were set at 125g, smaller than the existing Lotte Mart weight standard of 140g. However, considering that small-sized mandarins tend to have a slightly stronger acidity than large ones, the sugar content standard for Redhyang, Cheonhyehyang, and Hallabong was maintained at 12 Brix or higher, and only fruits selected through a non-destructive sugar content sorter were commercialized. Compared to previously sold products, the unit price is about 15% cheaper.

A Lotte Mart official said, “We quickly identified the sluggish consumption of small-sized mandarins after the holidays and planned this event to support farmers' sales channels while supplying fruits to customers at a low price.” He added, “In the future, we plan to expand integrated sourcing items to offer various fruits at reasonable prices so that customers can purchase fruits without burden.”
