Announcement of Personnel Changes for 3,850 Education Officials on March 1

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The Gyeongnam Office of Education announced the regular personnel appointments for educational officials as of March 1, 2023, on the 8th.


This personnel appointment involved 3,850 individuals including kindergarten, elementary and secondary school principals, vice principals, and teachers.


Won Gibok, Director of the School Policy Bureau, stated, “With the establishment of the Future Education Center and the Education Information Center, we have strived to place talented personnel with a high understanding of local communities and the field, as well as the capability and will to lead future education, in the right positions to support digital convergence education and ensure the successful settlement of future education.”

According to the provincial Office of Education, this personnel appointment focused on strengthening the role of institutions that systematically support future education.


▲ Park Hyesook, Principal of Changwon Sangnam Elementary School, was appointed as Director of the School Policy Bureau ▲ Lee Jeongsook, Director of Secondary Education, was appointed as Director of the Education Training Institute ▲ Kwon Dogeun, Principal of Jigok Elementary School, was appointed as Director of the Mountain Village Forest Education Center ▲ Park Youngseon, Principal of Daebang Elementary School, was appointed as Director of the Elementary Education Division at the main office ▲ Hwang Heungwi, Director of Career Education, was appointed as Director of the Secondary Education Division ▲ Kim Kyunggyu, Principal of Jinju High School, was appointed as Director of Career Education.


▲ At Changwon Education Support Office, Oh Kyungmun, Principal of Happo High School ▲ at Haman, Kim Seungo, Director of Elementary Education Division ▲ at Changnyeong, Kim Jongsik ▲ at Gimhae Education Support Office, Director ▲ at Goseong, Lee Misook, Director of Early Childhood Special Education Division ▲ at Hadong, Choi Sugyeong, Principal of Jinju Mechanical Engineering High School were appointed as Education Directors.


Including education specialists, 3,850 administrators at the level of kindergarten principals and vice principals, elementary and secondary school principals and vice principals, senior teachers, and kindergarten, elementary, and secondary school teachers were promoted, transferred, reassigned, or newly appointed and relocated to new workplaces.


Superintendent Park Jonghun said, “For everyday recovery, in the upcoming new semester, we will provide student-tailored education for independence and ecological transition education for coexistence,” adding, “We will spare no support so that our children can take strong steps toward a happy future, and we will do our best to ensure that the future education initiated by Gyeongnam Education becomes a new path toward a hopeful tomorrow.”
