Busan Office of Education, Regular Personnel Changes for School Administrators and Educational Professionals

482 People as of March 1

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Dooyul] The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 8th the regular personnel appointments effective March 1 for 482 individuals, including administrators and educational professionals of kindergartens, elementary, and secondary schools.


This personnel appointment focused on placing school administrators equipped with the capability to enhance school educational capacity and eliminate educational disparities. By school level, 214 were appointed in kindergarten and elementary schools, and 110 in secondary schools.


For kindergarten and elementary schools, 99 individuals were appointed or assigned as principals, including 67 through promotion, open recruitment, transfer, and reappointment, and 32 through reassignment. For vice principals, 115 were appointed or assigned, including 58 through promotion and transfer, and 55 through reassignment.


For secondary schools, 55 individuals were appointed or assigned as principals, including 39 through promotion, open recruitment, transfer, and reappointment, and 16 through reassignment. For vice principals, 55 were appointed or assigned, including 37 through promotion and transfer, and 18 through reassignment.


Following the March organizational restructuring to advance key tasks, the Busan Office of Education placed suitable candidates who will dedicate passion and commitment to policy implementation and support for school sites. Among them, 57 from kindergarten and elementary schools and 101 from secondary schools were appointed or assigned through promotion, transfer, and reassignment.

Through this personnel appointment, Lee Jaehan, Head of the Secondary Training Department at the Education Training Institute, was appointed as the Superintendent of the Western Education Support Office; Kim Sunryang, Head of the Kindergarten and Elementary Education Division, as Director of the Education Support Bureau of the Western Education Support Office; Lee Sangyul, Principal of Busan Nam High School, as Director of the Academic Development Institute; and Ha Seunghui, Head of the Children's Creative Education Center Operations Department, as Head of the Kindergarten and Elementary Education Division.


Ha Yoonsoo, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, “We focused on placing suitable candidates who can actively promote this year’s five key tasks of the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education: academic achievement improvement, character education, future education, elimination of educational disparities and educational welfare, and safety and communication.”
