The county announced on the 8th that it will actively expand the attraction of tourists and revitalize the local tourism industry by implementing distinctive tourism promotion and marketing in line with changing tourism trends after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The county plans to attract 10 million tourists by creating Imsil tourism promotional content, conducting influencer Imsil tourism fam tours, revitalizing Imsil tour buses, developing train-linked tourism products, and supporting travel agencies that attract tourists, thereby highlighting Imsil's unique characteristics and planning programs that more tourists can enjoy.
In addition, it will actively promote online marketing focused on trend marketing centered on SNS.
By collaborating with influential creators such as 40 Instagram influencers and 15 Naver bloggers, tourism content will be distributed through various media to showcase the charm of Imsil, where all generations including the MZ generation want to stay longer.
Furthermore, by supporting fam tours using power influencers, customized tourism information will be provided along with active promotion of Imsil tourism.
Through Imsil-gun's SNS channels such as Facebook, Instagram, KakaoTalk, as well as ImsilN TV, the county will present wonderful scenery, restaurants, and small stories of Imsil with emotion and fun.
Various support measures to improve accessibility to local tourism will also be implemented simultaneously.
Plans include operating tour buses connecting tourism hub areas such as Jeonju and Iksan with major tourist sites in Imsil-gun, and enhancing convenience for tourists visiting Imsil by train through linking various programs.
Incentive support for attracting group tourists will also be provided to increase the number of stay-type tourists and revitalize the local tourism industry.
The support targets travel agencies that attract domestic and foreign group tourists and school trip groups, and upon meeting support conditions such as using Imsil-gun tourist sites and restaurants, part of the travel expenses will be subsidized.
County Governor Shim Min said, “As COVID-19 transitions from a pandemic to an endemic, we will actively strive to attract more tourists to Imsil through the development of tourism content and aggressive promotional marketing that fit new travel trends.”
He added, “In particular, through online marketing tailored to the tourism demand of the MZ generation, we will enhance the image of Imsil travel from a new perspective and realize the era of 10 million tourists in Imsil.”
Meanwhile, this year, the county is preparing events centered on Imsil Cheese Theme Park, including the Family Month event in May, the Aqua Festival from July to August, the Imsil N Cheese Festival in October, and the Imsil Santa Festival in December, concentrating all administrative efforts from the beginning of the year to prepare various contents for successful festivals and events.
