[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City is publicly recruiting organizations to participate in this year's Gender Equality Fund support projects.

On the 8th, the city announced that it will open applications for participating organizations through the local subsidy system from the 13th to the 23rd. Applications can be submitted by non-profit private organizations or non-profit corporations based in Daejeon.

The recruitment is divided into planned projects and general projects. The planned projects target three areas: ▲ Creating a work-life balance social culture ▲ Field research on gender equality policies and creating a women-friendly city ▲ Projects to alleviate gender conflicts.

The general projects include four areas: ▲ Raising awareness of gender equality and spreading related culture ▲ Preventing violence against women and promoting women's rights ▲ Promoting women's economic activities and creating jobs ▲ Strengthening women's capabilities and expanding social participation.

Participating organizations can apply for only one project per category, and depending on the scale and content of the project, planned projects can receive up to 20 million KRW, and general projects up to 10 million KRW per organization.

The city plans to support a total project budget of 113 million KRW, including 40 million KRW for planned projects and 73 million KRW for general projects.
