“Mom, I’ll give you a hug before I go” 20s Man Who Fled After Exploiting Filial Piety

A man in his 20s who was sentenced to imprisonment in court and fled was caught by the police within 30 minutes.


Yeongju Police Station in Gyeongbuk announced on the 8th that they apprehended Mr. A, who was wanted for fleeing, around 2:56 p.m. on the 7th near the road by Polytech College in Munjeong-dong, Yeongju City.


According to the police, Mr. A fled by car around 2:24 p.m., about 30 minutes before being caught, after being sentenced to one year in prison for special injury and insurance fraud at the Daegu District Court Andong Branch.


It is known that he pleaded with the court to let him see his mother, who was waiting and crying outside the courtroom, just once, hugged his mother, and then fled.


Mr. A fled in the car he had been driving during the non-custodial trial but was caught by the police who responded to the report within about 30 minutes.
