Ministry of the Interior and Safety Requests Designation of "Hometown Love Day"

Public Contest Open to the Nation Until the 2nd of Next Month

[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 8th that it will designate a "Day of Hometown Love" by conducting a public contest from tomorrow until the 2nd of next month to reflect on the value and importance of one's hometown and to promote the Hometown Love Donation System.

This public contest is a follow-up measure to the amendment of the Hometown Love Donation Act, which mainly involves the designation and operation of the "Day of Hometown Love." The public contest for designating the "Day of Hometown Love" will proceed in three stages. First, the public proposes suitable dates and meanings for the "Day of Hometown Love" (1st stage), and then experts review these proposals (2nd stage) to select five candidate dates.
