[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] The Seoul Facilities Corporation announced that it will begin accepting applications for venue rental for the first half of the year starting from the 8th for Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu and the outdoor stage at Neungdong Seoul Children’s Grand Park in Gwangjin-gu.
Gocheok Sky Dome, the only dome stadium in Korea and a sports and cultural complex, can accommodate up to 16,739 seats. It is capable of hosting a variety of large-scale events including professional baseball games, performances, and corporate events.
The application period is from the 8th to the 21st, and the rental period is from April 1 to September 10, excluding days when professional baseball games are held, totaling 98 days. Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form from the Seoul Facilities Corporation website, filling it out, and sending it via email or submitting it in person. Meanwhile, the corporation will accept applications for the outdoor stage at Neungdong Seoul Children’s Grand Park in Gwangjin-gu from the 8th to the 15th. The outdoor stage at Seoul Children’s Grand Park consists of an open stage and a forest stage. The open stage, located near the main gate with high foot traffic, includes a 180㎡ stage and a 1,750㎡ plaza, allowing for various types of events and experience booths. The forest stage consists of a 560㎡ stage and approximately 8,000 seats, and auxiliary facilities such as two waiting rooms and one information booth are also available.
The application period is until the 15th, and the rental period is from April 1 to August 31, excluding days when Seoul Children’s Grand Park holds its own events. Applications can be made through the Seoul Public Service Reservation website, and additional inquiries can be made by phone or email.
In particular, when reviewing applications for the Children’s Grand Park venue, the corporation plans to incorporate ESG practice items related to overall event operation into the evaluation. This pilot program aims to provide meaningful cultural experience opportunities along with ESG experiences for growing children.
Events applied for rental at Gocheok Sky Dome and Seoul Children’s Grand Park will undergo review by the Venue Rental Review Committee, and the final results will be individually notified to the applicants.
