[Asia Economy Sejong=Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Korea Fisheries Infrastructure Public Corporation announced on the 8th that it will conduct a public recruitment for new employees in the first half of 2023. The corporation is a public institution under the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, aiming to improve the quality of life of fishermen through projects that promote fishing village tourism and encourage returning to or settling in fishing villages.
The recruitment fields for this new employee public recruitment include general office positions (human resources and labor, finance and accounting, fisheries, policy planning, project management), safety, civil engineering, architecture, and ship-related roles. For fixed-term contract positions, the fields include office (public relations, project management), ship (navigation), and counseling on policies for returning to or settling in fishing villages. A total of 22 outstanding talents will be hired (13 general positions and 9 fixed-term contract positions).
The corporation will select the final successful candidates through document screening, written tests (NCS-based basic vocational competency test, personality test), interviews, physical examinations, and background checks. Applications will be accepted from the 13th until 1 PM on the 20th.
The corporation stated, "To ensure fairness and transparency in recruitment, we adopt a blind recruitment method," and added, "We are creating pleasant and safe fishing ports through national fishing port safety inspections, maintenance, and operation of fishing port management vessels."
