[Asia Economy Sejong=Reporter Dongwoo Lee] KEPCO KDN recently announced on the 8th that it conducted 'ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Management In-house Female Recruitment Interviewer' training. The goal is to cultivate specialized recruitment interviewers and realize gender equality by enhancing the expertise of female managers.
This training, conducted as a commissioned education by the Barun Recruitment Certification Institute, was attended by about 30 female managers and above. It included theoretical education on ▲recruitment trends and latest issues ▲understanding interview questions ▲structured interview evaluation skills, as well as practical sessions such as the composition of company interview questions and mock interviews.
Internally, the training has been positively evaluated as it allows learning the criteria for assessing candidates' job performance abilities. A KEPCO KDN Level 3 Manager who attended the training said, "Recently, many applicants have impressive basic evaluation qualities and are well-prepared, so it was challenging to properly assess job performance abilities during interviews," adding, "The structured interview practice helped effectively verify applicants' self-introductions and understand interviews that can create empathy between applicants and interviewers."
KEPCO KDN plans to strive for fair and transparent talent recruitment by fostering interviewers qualified in structured interviews, as there has recently been a reverse interview phenomenon where interviewers lacking qualifications are themselves interviewed.
Meanwhile, as part of efforts to strengthen fair and blind recruitment, KEPCO KDN operates a recruitment auditor and recruitment verifier system, and through the in-house professional recruitment interviewer certification system, has produced 18 specialized recruitment interviewers.
KEPCO KDN recently conducted an internal training session to enhance the capabilities of female recruitment interviewers and is taking a commemorative photo afterward.
