Applications Open Until the 23rd for Youth from Companies in Damyang and Residents of Jeonnam
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 7th that it is recruiting participating companies for the Jeonnam Youth Long-term Employment Incentive Support Project.
This project is promoted to encourage long-term employment of young workers in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and to reduce the wage gap with large corporations. Incentives of up to 20 million KRW over four years will be provided to SMEs employing young workers in their 1st to 4th year of employment and to the workers themselves.
Eligible participating companies are those located in Damyang with 5 to fewer than 300 employees insured under employment insurance, and eligible youth are those aged 18 to 39 residing in Jeonnam who are employed by SMEs or similar companies.
Companies wishing to participate in the project can prepare application documents and submit them in person or by mail to the Investment and Economy Division of Damyang-gun Office from the 9th to the 23rd, a period of 15 days.
A county official stated, “This project is promoted to guarantee stable wages for local youth and to help resolve manpower shortages in SMEs,” adding, “We expect active participation so that competitive SMEs and young people can receive many benefits.”
