HL D&I Hanla Develops Korea's First 'Twin Fan Low-Noise Range Hood'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] HL D&I Hanra announced on the 7th that it has developed the country's first 'Twin Fan Low-Noise Range Hood' and will begin commercialization starting next year.

This product features an improved noise generation and suction performance by newly inserting a chamber tube (air storage space) of the standalone hood, two fans, and an exhaust duct (passage).

Existing range hoods have relatively smaller exhaust ducts compared to the fans installed inside the hood above the gas cooktop, causing friction noise to be transmitted indoors. To solve this problem, instead of installing one more exhaust duct, the fan capacity was reduced to half of the existing one, reducing noise by about 10 dB or more compared to products sold on the market.

HL D&I Hanra plans to complete prototype production in the first half of the year and conduct application tests at the Yangpyeong Station Hanra Vivaldi Guesthouse in the second half, with plans to launch the product within next year.

A representative from HL D&I Hanra WG Campus said, "We are additionally developing the product to be controllable by voice recognition when linked with HomeNet," adding, "We are conducting various research and development including noise reduction between floors and sleep tech beyond just range hoods."
