[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeonbuk Gochang-gun announced on the 7th that it is recruiting students for the ‘First Half Women’s Center Education’ until the 17th to develop the potential abilities of residents and promote healthy social participation through hobby activities.
This education program is scheduled to be conducted for four months from June 2 to June 30 after recruiting students, and anyone who is a resident of Gochang-gun is eligible to apply.
The recruitment fields include 10 courses for certificate acquisition and 8 courses for technical skills and hobbies, totaling 18 courses with a recruitment quota of 240 people.
In particular, night classes such as ‘Computer Practical Course ITQ’ and ‘Solo Dining Cooking’ were opened for office workers who cannot spare time during the day, and new courses such as ‘Professional Organizer’, ‘Tarot Counselor’, and ‘One-person Media’ were newly established reflecting the residents’ suggestions for course openings.
Residents who wish to participate in the education can apply online through the county website, and the tuition fee is 10,000 KRW per month. Basic livelihood security recipients, single-parent families, and registered disabled persons are exempt from tuition fees.
Last year, 433 people received education in 35 courses. Among them, 7 people were linked to employment, and 120 people obtained certificates, strengthening the capabilities of residents and helping provide job participation opportunities.
Lee Gilsu, Director of Talent Development of the county, said, “We hope many people participate in this program so that they can achieve self-fulfillment and link to employment by obtaining the desired certificates.”
