Dong-A Pharmaceutical Launches Children's Digestive Regulator 'Benachio Kids'

[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Dong-A Pharmaceutical announced on the 7th that it has launched ‘Benachio Kids,’ an herbal digestive and antidiarrheal medicine for children.

Benachio Kids is a children's version of the over-the-counter digestive medicine ‘Benachio.’ It contains herbal ingredients such as changchul, cinnamon, dried ginger, dried tangerine peel, fennel, Corydalis tuber, and licorice, which promote gastric motility and improve symptoms like indigestion. It also includes O-mae, a steamed herbal ingredient made from plum, which helps alleviate diarrhea and loose stools often accompanying children's stomachaches, along with Aseon medicine components.

Benachio Kids comes in two flavors, strawberry and peach, allowing children to choose according to their preference. It is conveniently packaged in stick pouches for easy administration, storage, and portability. The package design features Dong-A Pharmaceutical’s children’s brand character ‘Pandi’ to add familiarity.

Each box contains six 10ml stick pouches, the recommended single dose for children aged 5 to 8. It can be taken by children aged one year and older, with a recommended dosage of three times a day.

Park Sumin, the person in charge of the Benachio brand at Dong-A Pharmaceutical, said, “Benachio Kids is a digestive and antidiarrheal medicine exclusively for children, launched with the heart of parents in mind,” adding, “We hope it helps resolve symptoms such as indigestion, diarrhea, loose stools, and abdominal bloating that often accompany stomachaches.”
