Talk Concert Held for Over 100 Public Officials
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 6th, Jinju City in Gyeongnam held an 'Emotional (感性) Talk Concert' at the city hall cultural lecture room, attended by Mayor Jo Gyu-il and about 100 public officials in their 20s and 30s.
This event was organized as a happiness project to create a healthy organizational culture through open communication and empathy with employees.
The concert was divided into two parts: the first part featured a fun literary lecture by Gwak Dong-geun, CEO of Energy Friend, and the second part, hosted by broadcaster Park Jae-hong, included a Q&A session about the mayor, a playful three-line acrostic poem using the three syllables of 'Jinju City,' and flying paper airplanes with hopeful messages for the 2023 city administration, among other diverse formats.

Especially during the rapid Q&A session with the mayor, questions ranged from humorous ones about the mayor’s MBTI and morning routine after waking up to more serious inquiries such as the most fulfilling moments as mayor and goals he definitely wants to achieve. Mayor Jo responded honestly, fostering mutual understanding.
Mayor Jo said, “You are the core driving force leading our organization,” and added, “I will continue to communicate so that my precious employees can work with a smile.”
He further stated, “Let us join forces to make the hopeful messages contained in the paper airplanes for 2023 come true.”
One employee who participated that day said, “It was a meaningful time to meet the mayor, who is usually difficult for 8th and 9th grade employees to meet face-to-face, up close, to see the mayor’s human side, and to share the future vision of the city administration.”
