[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Cha Jong-seon] Jeollanam-do Gokseong-gun (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) is recruiting 20 new strong small-scale farmers by the 28th to foster "small but strong farmers."
Strong small-scale farmers refer to small-scale family farm management entities that achieve high profits through differentiated competitiveness based on continuous capacity development, ideas, and technical skills despite their small management scale.

Applicants include agricultural research associations by item, crop groups, young farmers, returnees to farming and rural areas, and other small-scale agricultural management entities. Farmers wishing to apply for strong small-scale farmer support can visit the Gokseong-gun Agricultural Technology Center or the industrial team at the town or township office within the application period.
Farmers selected as strong small-scale farmers will be provided with various support and activity opportunities such as management improvement education, management diagnosis, autonomous group activities, and participation in the Strong Small-scale Farmers Expo.
The strong small-scale farmer education aims to cultivate excellent strong small-scale farmers. The education program is systematically promoted with basic courses to strengthen management capabilities, specialized courses to build business models, and advanced courses to nurture regional leaders.
Additionally, starting in June, Gokseong-gun plans to take the lead in improving farm management through various programs such as setting short- and long-term goals for each farm, management improvement education and expert consulting, field visits, writing management improvement practice notes, farmland law education, and field visits to excellent strong small-scale farms.
A county official said, "Through strong small-scale farmers, we are making every effort to discover and foster farms that are small in scale but competitive. We will strive to strengthen farmers' self-reliance capabilities and lead to income improvement."
