Ahn Cheol-soo Halts Public Schedule Amid Conflict with Presidential Office

Statements like 'Yoon An Alliance' and 'Yoon Core Faction Commander Jang Je-won' Stir Presidential Office
"Damaging Party Democracy" Sparks Backlash but May Pause Briefly

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-won] Ahn Cheol-soo, who has been at odds with the presidential office over his remarks about the 'Yoon-Ahn Alliance (the alliance between President Yoon Seok-yeol and Assemblyman Ahn Cheol-soo),' announced that he will temporarily suspend his schedule.

Ahn's office stated in a notice that "the postponement of some of Assemblyman Ahn's schedules is to allow for situation assessment and political strategy planning."

After completing a live radio interview in the morning, Ahn suspended all scheduled activities except for pre-recorded programs.

Remarks such as the 'Yoon-Ahn Alliance' and 'the commander of Yoon's hardcore faction is Assemblyman Jang Je-won' served as a catalyst. The presidential office criticized Ahn as an 'enemy' and said he had 'crossed the line,' to which Ahn responded by accusing the presidential office of 'interfering in the election' and 'undermining party democracy,' but ultimately decided to temporarily halt his schedule.

Following former Assemblymen Yoo Seung-min and Na Kyung-won, the process of the presidential office suppressing candidates who rise to first place without 'Yoonshim (President Yoon Seok-yeol's intention)' is being repeated.
