"Pay 100 Million Won If You Marry Me" Suspicious Flyer from 2.5 Billion Won Man

A man in his 40s has become a hot topic online after posting a flyer introducing himself with a promise of a 100 million won marriage brokerage fee.

According to the anonymous office worker community 'Blind' on the 2nd, an office worker named A posted a photo of a marriage brokerage flyer along with a message on the 17th of last month.

In the flyer posted by A, a man identified as B, who stated he is a 45-year-old male, wrote, "Please arrange a marriage for me," and added, "If the marriage is successful, I will give 100 million won in cash." Regarding this flyer, A expressed skepticism, saying, "Is this for real?" and "The annual income and asset size feel a bit strange."

The flyer posted by A detailed B’s educational background, physical conditions, and assets. The extensive description of his asset size caught attention. He stated, "I own and live in a 30-pyeong apartment in Ilsan and own a building that generates 3 million won in monthly income," and "I have about 300 million won in financial assets and a total asset of about 2.5 billion won."

He introduced his workplace as a driver's license examination center. His declared annual income was 40 million won. A explained, "Having focused solely on making money for over 20 years, I regret that I was so busy I didn’t even realize I was well over 40 years old," adding, "I suddenly felt ashamed in front of my elderly parents. I made this decision because I thought I should start a family even now."

He continued, "From the perspective of a humble lifelong bachelor, the one thing I can boast about is that I have been self-made without ever asking anyone for help."

He also left his mobile phone number and said, "Among my relatives, there are current officials such as executives at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency and prosecutors at the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office, so please refrain from contacting me with dishonest intentions."

B also provided detailed explanations about the brokerage fee on the flyer. He stated, "This flyer declares the validity of the contract," and added, "If the marriage is successful within three months from the introduction date, I will pay 100 million won. If within six months, 50 million won, and if within two years, 30 million won as a marriage success fee."

Although the authenticity of the flyer has not been confirmed, many netizens responded negatively. Some commented, "Do you think you can buy a person with money?"
