Busan Office of Education Announces Implementation Plan for Elementary, Middle, and High School Equivalency Exams

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced the implementation plan for the '2023 1st Elementary, Middle, and High School Equivalency Examination' to be held on April 8 on the morning of the 3rd at 10 a.m. on the Office of Education's website.

The equivalency exam is an academic qualification recognition test conducted twice a year to provide educational opportunities to those who have not entered regular elementary, middle, or high schools or who have discontinued their studies.

Applications can be submitted both on-site and online. On-site applications will be accepted from 9 a.m. on the 13th to 6 p.m. on the 17th at Sodamjeong on the basement level 1 of the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education.

Online applications will be accepted until 6 p.m. on the 16th, one day shorter than the on-site application period, to prevent errors caused by system overload on the last day of registration.

Applicants applying on-site must prepare their final academic certificate, two passport-sized photos, and an ID card when submitting the application. For detailed information, please refer to the announcement.

Additionally, test centers will be established at Busan Prison and Busan Juvenile Detention Center.

In particular, one assistant for disabled examinees will be assigned at each test center, and if an application for 'disabled convenience provision' is made, services such as reading aloud and writing assistance will be provided.

The successful candidates will be announced on May 9 at 10 a.m. on the Office of Education's website.
