[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Myunghwan] Huem&c, an affiliate of Huons Group, has decided to sell its subsidiaries Blossom Pictures and Blossom Story.
Huem&c announced on the 2nd that it held a board meeting on the 1st and resolved to sell 100% of the shares of its subsidiaries Blossom Pictures and Blossom Story. Blossom Story is a drama production company that produced Model Detective, and Blossom Pictures is a film investment and production company that produced Dark Figure of Crime.
Through the sale of the two companies engaged in media content business, Huem&c plans to strengthen its core business of healthcare total materials and focus on management efficiency by adjusting its business portfolio.
Kim Junchul, CEO of Huem&c, said, "This subsidiary sale is aimed at strengthening the core business through business portfolio adjustment," adding, "We are conducting facility investments to improve productivity and are diversifying investment activities to revitalize the core business, such as mergers and acquisitions of materials-related companies and investments to strengthen research and development (R&D)."
