Ulsan City Executive Officials Academy... "Distinguished Speaker Lecture Series"

Former Lawmaker Yoon Hee-sook, Professor Kim Ki-ho, Senior Reporter Park Jong-in

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Former National Assembly member Yoon Hee-sook, Seoul National University Professor Emeritus Kim Ki-ho, and Senior Reporter Park Jong-in of Chosun Ilbo, among other prominent figures from various fields, are visiting Ulsan to give special lectures to senior Ulsan city officials.


Ulsan City announced that on the mornings of the 2nd and 3rd, it will conduct the "2023 Core Leader Academy" training at Hotel Hyundai BY Rhahaan (formerly Hotel Hyundai Ulsan) in Dong-gu for city officials at grade 5 and above, district and county directors and above, and executives of affiliated organizations.


This training aims to present or share new growth engines and strengthen the creative thinking and roles of core leaders to address challenges such as low birthrate, aging population, and improving citizens' quality of life.

On the first day, the 2nd, the morning session will begin with an explanation of the 2023 city administration direction and a video of the dialogue with citizens during the 8th elected term, followed by former National Assembly member Yoon Hee-sook’s lecture on the theme "What Kind of Freedom Do We Pursue?" focusing on core public service values education.


In the afternoon, Seoul National University Professor Emeritus Kim Ki-ho will give a lecture on "Advanced Eco-friendly Cities for Urban Areas," and Chosun Ilbo reporter Park Jong-in will deliver a lecture on innovative growth and humanities titled "Joseon, a Country Without Bookstores, and Community."


On the 3rd, the morning lecture will be given by Han Chang-seop, Vice Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, on the theme "National Tasks and Public Service Values," and in the afternoon, Ahn Hyung-hwan, Vice Chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, will present a humanities lecture titled "Open Korean History and Culture."


Additionally, a "Happy Harmony" healing concert with commentary by the Luce String Ensemble is also prepared.


An official from Ulsan City stated, "Going forward, to build a ‘Great New Ulsan,’ we plan to invite prominent figures from various fields to provide on-site education that fosters a paradigm shift in thinking and understanding of major social trends, sharing new visions."
