"Don't Touch Outlets with Wet Hands" LG Electronics Provides Safety Education to 500 Children

Busan and Ulsan Best Shops Launch, Expanding to Daegu, Jeju, and Gangneung

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] LG Electronics announced on the 2nd that it will conduct home appliance safety education at nationwide Best Shop stores. This is an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management activity started this year.


Children from local daycare centers are invited to nearby LG Electronics Best Shops for education. It began on the 13th of last month in Busan and Ulsan. Due to positive responses, it has expanded to Daegu, Jeju, Gangneung, and other locations. About 500 people participated in the education by the end of last month. Starting this month, the event will be expanded nationwide, including existing regions.

LG Electronics stated that they educated on how dangerous it is to touch electrical outlets with wet hands. They explained that they taught easily using YouTube videos. They provided opportunities to see and touch actual products directly.


Programs included experiencing the smart home platform 'LG ThinQ,' demonstrations of color changes on the 'LG DIOS Objet Collection MoodUp' refrigerator, Chloe robot experiences, and treasure hunts.


Park Naewon, CEO of Hi Plaza, said, "We will provide children with opportunities to safely experience using products."
