Forest Partners Recruits Hwang Ho-yeon, Strategic Investment Specialist, as Partner CSO

[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Forest Partners, a private equity fund (PEF) management firm, announced on the 1st that it has appointed Hwang Ho-yeon as a new partner, serving as Forest Partners' General Partner and Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).

Partner Hwang Ho-yeon earned a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering from Seoul National University and an MBA from Stanford University. He then gained investment experience through Bain & Company, Tiger Asia Management, and in 2012 became a co-founder and operating partner of Tiger Pacific Capital LP.

Based on over a decade of investment and asset management experience, Partner Hwang will lead the overall review of Forest Partners' investment portfolio and head the company's strategy division going forward.

As a partner centered on Forest Partners and its subsidiary Forest Ventures, he plans to lead all investment processes such as deal sourcing, company analysis, and investment decision-making, as well as guide the company's overall growth strategy as CSO.

Partner Hwang, who is recognized for his systematic corporate analysis skills, corporate strategy development, and outstanding capabilities in investment management, is expected to further strengthen Forest Partners' competitiveness in the strategy division with his addition.
