The 42nd Naval Maintenance Command Chief, Military Service Officer Choi Heon-sik, Assumes Office

At the inauguration, Maintenance Depot Commander Choi Heon-sik (Civilian Military Officer) emphasized in his speech, “Let us move forward with all our might to achieve the assigned goal of ‘AI-based Science and Technology Strong Military’ presented in Defense Innovation 4.0 and to prove the value that ‘the technical capability of the Maintenance Depot is the Navy’s combat power.’”

He continued, “I will create a safe and happy Maintenance Depot. I will achieve the vision of ‘Implementing a Smart Maintenance Depot through Change and Innovation’ to ensure the combat readiness posture of ships and meet the basic conditions for a decisive posture.”

The new Commander Choi graduated from the 45th class of the Naval Academy in 1991 and has held key positions in the Navy’s logistics sector, including Chief of the Navy Headquarters Logistics Planning Division, Commander of the 3rd Logistics Squadron, and Chief of Staff of the Logistics Command.
