Do Education Office - Yangsan City, Establishment and Operation Business Agreement Signed

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The provincial Office of Education and Yangsan City have joined hands to build a Student Safety Experience Education Center in the eastern region of Gyeongnam.

According to the provincial Office of Education, on the 31st, the two organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Yangsan City Hall Situation Room.

The provincial Office of Education plans to address the shortage of safety experience facilities by establishing a comprehensive Student Safety Experience Education Center in Dong-myeon, Yangsan City, within the Yangsan Water Purification Park, following the education center located in Jinju in the eastern region.

Attending the signing ceremony were Superintendent of Education Park Jong-hoon, Mayor Na Dong-yeon, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Council Education Committee Heo Yong-bok, and Chairman of the City Council Lee Jong-hee.

The education center will be equipped with experiential facilities designed to help kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school students develop the ability to respond to various types of disasters and safety accidents.

Superintendent Park said, “To enhance disaster response capabilities, repetitive safety experience education is important,” adding, “We will do our best to build the Safety Experience Education Center by developing and spreading experiential programs that reflect life development stages and by gathering diverse opinions.”

Mayor Na stated, “Through experience-centered safety education, we will establish a culture of disaster prevention in daily life and contribute to improving disaster response capabilities,” and added, “We expect students’ ability to cope with various situations threatening life and safety to increase.”
