History Lecture Through Key Figures of the Joseon Dynasty
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Seoul Library announced on the 1st that it will operate an online winter special lecture titled 'Reading the Joseon Dynasty through Historical Figures' from the 10th to the 17th.
This lecture is designed as a special course that selects historical figures and deeply explores their lives. It focuses on key figures of the Joseon Dynasty such as Taejong, Sejong, Yeongjo, Jeongjo, Yi Sun-sin, and Kim Jeong-hui, allowing participants to grasp the essence of each figure. It comprehensively examines major events, the era's context, policies, and culture surrounding these figures.
The special lecture is directly delivered by renowned historians Professor Shin Byung-joo (Department of History, Konkuk University) and Professor Kim In-kyung (Department of History, Sun Moon University).
Applications for the 'Reading the Joseon Dynasty through Historical Figures' history special lecture can be made from the 1st to the 8th via the Seoul Library website → Application & Participation → Program Application. Anyone can participate free of charge, and the number of participants is limited to the first 300 applicants. For inquiries about the program, please contact Seoul Library.
