BNK Busan Bank and Korea Environment Corporation Sign Agreement to Promote Low-Carbon Living Practices

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Dooyul] BNK Busan Bank signed a non-face-to-face business agreement with the Korea Environment Corporation on the 30th to promote ‘low-carbon lifestyle practice.’

Through this business agreement, Busan Bank will provide carbon-neutral point system (energy) subscribers with ▲a 0.2% preferential interest rate on low-carbon practice savings and deposits ▲up to 70% discount on currency exchange fees, and all Busan Bank branches will also join the carbon-neutral point system to lead the practice of a low-carbon lifestyle.

The Korea Environment Corporation plans to actively promote financial benefits such as those for subscribing to the carbon-neutral point system on its website.

The carbon-neutral point system is a ‘greenhouse gas reduction practice system’ that provides incentives based on the amount of energy savings in electricity, water supply, city gas, etc. As of the end of December 2022, more than 2 million households nationwide have participated and are practicing energy saving.
