[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, will conduct a total of 40 internal training sessions for employees to eradicate sexual violence and enhance gender sensitivity.
Nam-gu is collaborating with a professional organization specializing in educational content development to provide training that raises gender sensitivity through the Saeol Administrative System, conducting 20 sessions each in the first and second halves of the year.
The Saeol Administrative System is a system used by civil servants in cities, counties, and districts nationwide to handle civil service and licensing tasks, and logging in is mandatory to carry out various duties.
Nam-gu has ensured that all employees without exception receive this training by setting the gender sensitivity learning popup to automatically launch upon booting the Saeol Administrative System. Through this, education is being conducted with diverse content covering gender sensitivity, definitions of sexual harassment and sexual violence, and prevention of secondary damage.
The first half training is being conducted from the 18th of last month until the 14th of next month, and the second half training will take place between July and August.
A Nam-gu official stated on the 31st, “Through self-learning, we plan to assess each employee’s level of gender sensitivity and enhance gender sensitivity to prevent any unfortunate issues related to gender from occurring in the workplace and daily life.”
