Emphasizing Changes in National Industrial Complexes and Rapid Response
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced on the 31st that the Changwon National Industrial Complex Employers' Association Chairman Inauguration and Retirement Ceremony and New Year's Party were held at 6 p.m. on the 30th at Hotel International Changwon.
The event was hosted by the Changwon National Industrial Complex Employers' Association, attended by about 120 people including Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, Executive Director of Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, Director of the Korea Institute of Materials Science, and Head of Gyeongnam Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration. The first part of the event proceeded with awards for meritorious service from the Changwon Mayor's Award, the chairman inauguration and retirement ceremony, and congratulatory speeches, followed by the second part, the New Year's party.
Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam, attended the inauguration and farewell ceremony of the Changwon National Industrial Complex Employers' Association president and the New Year's party event.
Mayor Hong, in his congratulatory speech, expressed gratitude to Yang Jae-bu (Shin Su-win), the outgoing chairman who honorably retired after fulfilling his role for the development of the association over the past three years, and asked Shin Ki-su, the newly inaugurated chairman of Daegun Tech, to strive for the development of the Changwon Industrial Complex.
The Incorporated Association Changwon National Industrial Complex Employers' Association was established in 1995 and currently has 102 member companies. It actively serves as a hub for the Changwon National Industrial Complex through networking and competitiveness enhancement activities such as the Gyeongnam CEO Breakfast Seminar, Win-Win Cooperation Exchange Meeting, and occasional corporate meetings.
Mayor Hong said, "Although the Changwon economy is also facing difficulties amid the global economic downturn, clear signs of rebound and leap are visible due to the realization of National Industrial Complex 2.0 and the favorable conditions of the nuclear power and defense industries," adding, "Based on this, we will do our best to ensure that the Changwon National Industrial Complex, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year, can show a new appearance."
